International Immersion Program
These programs will be held 2-3 times a year and will involve traveling abroad to facilitate a Cookbook Project Workshop with a group of like-minded individuals. Trips will be lead by experienced Cookbook Project Leaders with established community-based contacts and will be anywhere from 1-4 weeks in length and will include at least one 3-5 day workshop with planning days on either end. Free days will be spent in the surrounding areas of interest exploring cultural opportunities, delving into the natural world, connecting with locals, and lots of gastronmical adventuring.
Certain programs will have particular themes, including outdoor adventure, sustainable living, language immersion, or yoga and meditation. Amongst the myriad of interpersonal skills participants will gain including leadership, communication, and community building skills. Each program will also focus on the acquisition of technical skills including community development, strategic planning, fundraising, and regional cooking and food preparation.
